The faculty of post-graduate studies was opened in 2005-06 academic session and presently comprises the post-graduate sections of the department of Botany and Chemistry. The P.G. sections are autonomous and the Faculty of P.G. Studies of Scottish Church College awards its own M.Sc. degrees in association with the University of Calcutta.

The college's first batch of post-graduate students passed out in the M.Sc. Part - II Final Year Examination in June 2007. They were awarded the Degree Certificates by the Vice Chancellor, University of Calcutta at the First Commencement Ceremony held in the College in 2007.

The Academic Council for Post-Graduate Studies comprising college and university teachers and other experts determines policy and oversees the functioning of the P.G. departments.

Each department has its own Board of Studies comprising departmental teachers and external academicians and experts who frame the syllabus, appoint functionaries for conducting various activities of the examination process and monitor the teaching methodology.

The Faculty of Post-Graduate Studies is administered by the Dean of P.G. Studies while the Examination Section of the Faculty of P.G. Studies is headed by the Controller of Examinations.
